The Observatory said on Friday that under the influence of a broad low-pressure trough, there would be a few showers on Saturday, accompanied by stronger winds from the east. “A strong easterly airstream will affect the coast of Guangdong during the weekend. As the easterly airstream is replaced by a humid southerly airstream early next week, it will be warm during the day and there will still be a few showers over the coast of southern China,” it said. According to the latest nine-day forecast, it will be mainly cloudy next week, with showers on Monday and Tuesday expected to persist into the following two days. A cold front is expected to move across the coast of Guangdong next Tuesday, bringing stronger winds and showers over the region. The weather in Hong Kong is expected to improve next weekend with sunny intervals, the Observatory said. Temperatures will fall in the middle and latter parts of next week.
