# Quantum eMotion to Buy SKV Technology Assets

> Quantum eMotion (QNC) has agreed to acquire key technology assets from SKV Technology, a California-based cybersecurity firm. The deal includes the SecureKey platform and involves milestone-based earn-out payments of up to $7 million, along with royalties of up to $15 million over five years. Jason Thomas, founder of SKV, will join Quantum eMotion in an executive role. The transaction is expected to close around March 2. QNC shares rose by $0.07 to $5.00 on the TSX Venture Exchange.

01:06 PM EST, 02/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Quantum eMotion ( QNC ) on Friday said it entered into an agreement to buy key technology assets through the acquisition of SKV Technology, a California-based cybersecurity company.

The assets include the SecureKey platform developed and commercialized by Jet Lab Technologies) and held by SKV. Jason Thomas, founder of SKV and Jet Lab and lead technologist of Jet Lab, will be joining Quantum eMotion ( QNC ) in an executive development role

The company said in consideration, it will make milestone-based earn-out payments of up to $7 million, payable at its election in cash, shares of the company, or a combination thereof. Quantum eMotion ( QNC ) will also pay royalties of up to $15 million, subject to specified sales thresholds, on products incorporating the SecureKey technology for a term of up to five years.

The earn-out payments will be contingent upon the achievement of defined technical and integration milestones centered on the successful realization of the combined Sentry-Q + SecureKey full-stack quantum-resilient security architecture. Closing is expected to occur on or about March 2.

Shares of the company were last seen up $0.07 to $5.00 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
