Due to rising material costs, Xiaomi's smartphone shipments face downside risks, with an expected year-on-year decline of approximately 20% this year. In addition, the demand and profitability of the Internet of Things and electric vehicle businesses may also be below expectations Nomura maintains a "Neutral" rating on Xiaomi (01810.HK) and lowers the target price from HKD 61 to HKD 33. The firm believes that due to rising bill of materials costs, Xiaomi's smartphone shipments face downside risks. The firm originally expected this year's shipments to decline by single digits year-on-year, but after experiencing several months of worsening market conditions, if overall cost pressures do not ease throughout the year, shipments may decline by approximately 20% year-on-year. Moreover, the sales base for the Internet of Things business has been at a high level from the second half of 2024 to the first half of 2025, coupled with high market expectations for the electric vehicle business. The firm is concerned about Xiaomi's smartphone and electric vehicle businesses this year, as demand and profitability may be weaker than expected ### Related Stocks - [01810.HK - XIAOMI-W](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/01810.HK.md) ## Related News & Research | Title | Description | URL | |-------|-------------|-----| | Xiaomi EV teases 'surprise' following concept car leak in Spain | Xiaomi has teased a "surprise" unveiling of its new supercar concept, set to be revealed tomorrow at the 2026 Mobile Wor | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/277269769.md) | | Chinese EV Maker Xiaomi Creates New Safety Body after Fatal Fiery Crashes | Chinese EV maker Xiaomi is establishing a new safety advisory committee following several fatal accidents involving its | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/277225047.md) | | Xiaomi EV delivers 'over 20,000 units' in Feb amid holiday and model shift | Xiaomi EV delivered over 20,000 units in February, impacted by the Chinese New Year holiday and a shift in model focus. | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/277332254.md) | | EV charge provider attacks ‘crazy’ £150k bill for two road signs | A leading EV charging provider, InstaVolt, criticized the high costs of installing two road signs, estimated between £10 | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/277067781.md) | | China’s Xiaomi steps up global push with flagship smartphone 17 series launch | Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its flagship Xiaomi 17 series globally in Barcelona, aiming to compete with | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/277356547.md) | --- > **Disclaimer**: This article is for reference only and does not constitute any investment advice.
