Bank of China ( (HK:3988) ) has shared an update.

Bank of China’s board of directors convened an on-site meeting in Beijing on 3 March 2026 and unanimously approved the appointment of Ms. Huang Xueling as Executive Vice President. The meeting complied with relevant Chinese corporate laws and the bank’s articles, with all 16 eligible directors attending in person and independent non-executive directors confirming that both Huang’s qualifications and the appointment procedures meet regulatory requirements.

Huang’s appointment, which remains subject to approval by the National Financial Regulatory Administration, brings to the senior management a seasoned executive with extensive experience at Central Huijin Investment and its asset management arm, as well as prior roles in financial institution oversight and corporate governance. Her background in capital operations and equity management suggests Bank of China is reinforcing its top leadership bench with policy-linked financial expertise, a move that could support the bank’s strategic alignment with state capital management priorities and strengthen its regulatory and institutional relationships.
