# TrendForce expects NAND flash memory prices to rise by 85% to 90% quarter-on-quarter this season

According to the research agency TrendForce, the global NAND flash memory industry continued to benefit from the expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the fourth quarter of last year. The total revenue of the top five NAND flash memory suppliers increased by 23.8% quarter-on-quarter to USD 21.17 billion. The report forecasts that in the first quarter of this year, the ongoing supply-demand imbalance is strengthening suppliers' determination to raise prices. The agency has also raised its forecast, expecting overall NAND flash memory prices to increase by 85% to 90% quarter-on-quarter during the quarter, with industry revenue further expanding.

TrendForce indicated that due to the limited short-term expansion of NAND capacity and the surge in AI demand, the price increase trend is expected to continue throughout 2026. Major suppliers are accelerating their transformation, shifting their product focus to high-capacity QLC enterprise SSDs to meet the storage density and bandwidth demands of generative AI workloads. Capacity allocation will increasingly prioritize server applications, leading to tighter supply of consumer-grade products
