# March 5th Midday Review: The ChiNext Index rose 2.43% in half a day, MicroLED concept stocks collectively surged

The market showed a strong upward trend in the morning, with the Shanghai Composite Index rising nearly 1% and the ChiNext Index up over 2%. MicroLED concept stocks collectively surged, with HuaCan Optoelectronics, YES OPTOELECTRONICS, and NATIONSTAR among several stocks hitting the daily limit. The smart grid concept continued to perform strongly, with hlgf, DHEP, and SHUNNA also hitting the daily limit. The optical communication concept strengthened, with NewEase and AVD rising over 10%. On the downside, QiuLe Seed Industry and ShenNong Seed Industry fell over 10%. Individual stocks showed a general upward trend, with nearly 4,600 stocks in the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets in the green, and a total transaction volume of 15.6 trillion in the morning session. At the noon close, the Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.84%, the Shenzhen Component Index was up 1.67%, and the ChiNext Index was up 2.43%
