Yuan Da, Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on the 7th that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the installed capacity of renewable energy in China will account for about 60%, and the contribution to the global newly installed capacity of renewable energy will continue to exceed 50%. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, there will be greater efforts to develop non-fossil energy, accelerate the construction of a new power system, and promote the coverage of new electricity consumption by newly added clean energy generation, pushing for peak coal and oil consumption.
