# Brief News: COUNTRY GARDEN sales remain sluggish, with 2.2 billion in cash from property sales in February

Mainland property developer **Country Garden Holdings Company Limited** (2007.HK) announced its **property sales amount** for last month on Tuesday. As of the end of February, the sales amount attributable to the company's shareholders was approximately 2.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3%, but an increase of 0.9% compared to sales in January of this year.

The sales contracts involved a construction area of approximately 290,000 square meters, a decrease of 6.5% compared to 310,000 square meters in the same period last year, but an increase of 3.6% compared to 280,000 square meters in January of this year.

On Tuesday, Country Garden opened flat at HKD 0.3, with the company's stock price down 65% over the past year.
