# Oil Supply Shock: The Iran War Exceeds the Past Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Goldman Sachs estimates that the current oil supply reduction in the Persian Gulf is 17.1 million barrels per day, which is 17 times the decline from the peak Russian oil production in April 2022.
