# ABB collaborates with NVIDIA to optimize factory robot training

The two companies announced on Monday that ABB's robotics division has partnered with NVIDIA to bridge the gap between the performance of industrial robots in virtual simulations and their actual operation in factories.

Headquartered in Switzerland, ABB will utilize NVIDIA's Omniverse simulation database to make the robot training environment more closely resemble real-world scenarios by incorporating details such as lighting, shadows, and material textures.

Mark Segura, President of ABB Robotics, stated, "This will save companies a significant amount of time and money."
