# Geopolitical tensions rise, coupled with Truist upgrading its rating, Redwire's stock price rises against the trend

Redwire Corp's stock price rose 5% in early trading on Monday, primarily benefiting from the ongoing escalation of geopolitical tensions, as well as Truist Securities analyst Michael Ciarmoli upgrading its rating from "Hold" to "Buy" and raising the target price from $13 to $15. Global Government and Commercial Customer Base

Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, Redwire is a comprehensive aerospace and defense technology supplier, providing satellite avionics, star trackers, solar sensors, precision and infrared cameras, as well as space situational awareness and navigation payloads.

The company also supplies solar arrays and deployable composite booms to government and commercial spacecraft operators in the U.S., Europe, and other international markets.

Redwire's revenue over the past twelve months was approximately $296 million, but it has yet to achieve profitability, with both net profit margin and return on capital being significantly negative. This financial situation makes the stock highly sensitive to expectations of winning long-term national security contracts.

Conflict Increases Demand for Orbital Coverage

Redwire acquired Edge Autonomy for $925 million, adding the battle-tested "Peregrine" reconnaissance drones and a long-range intelligence, surveillance, and target acquisition system used by the U.S. Army and a European NATO member.

As missiles, drones, and critical shipping lanes come into focus, traders may view RDW as a focal point for betting on rising demand for orbital imaging and autonomous aerial surveillance.
