According to Seasure Shipbroking, about 24 tankers signed time charter contracts last week, setting the highest record since May 2020. The benchmark charter rate for supertankers for one year has risen to a record $176,250 per day. In the spot market, the benchmark earnings for very large crude carriers on the Middle East to China route reached $476,754 per day
