# The "OpenClaw" craze has swept through China's tech circle, with Xiaomi and Tencent competing to establish their presence

According to comprehensive reports from Chinese media, the Chinese tech circle has recently sparked a craze for "OpenClaw (referred to as AI Lobster) intelligent body." This open-source AI intelligent body, created by an American AI giant, is seen as a "digital worker" that can directly take over computers, write code, reply to emails, and even trade stocks. It is reported that Tencent has set up a "Lobster Installation Station" at Tencent Building in Shenzhen, providing developers with free "on-site installation" of OpenClaw; Xiaomi has also launched the first mobile version of Lobster in China, firing the first shot in the "mobile manufacturer Agent trend."

The installation threshold for OpenClaw is high; it requires a specific version of the Node.js environment, relies entirely on command line operations, and needs to handle details such as daemon processes and port openings. Additionally, on platforms like Xiaohongshu and Xianyu, "OpenClaw on-site installation" has become a popular search term, with prices ranging from 300 to 1,000 RMB, and even offering free problem-solving services within 24 hours.

At the same time, tech giants like Xiaomi, Alibaba, and Tencent have successively launched related services. Xiaomi has introduced Xiaomi miclaw (mobile version of Lobster), which, unlike OpenClaw that requires complex installation, is directly integrated into the mobile system. Alibaba is beta testing its AI product "JVS Claw," which currently has an independent app and web version, centered around a customizable and evolvable Clawbot, along with an independent cloud ClawSpace environment. Tencent's Tencent Cloud has also released the all-scenario AI intelligent body WorkBuddy.
