# Alibaba.com signs cooperation agreement with BOC HONG KONG, cross-border e-commerce influencers say AI has become a "standard configuration" for foreign trade

The 10th Cross-Border E-commerce Talent Competition on Alibaba.com concluded successfully in 2026, with the only post-00 contestant, Feng Yingxian, the business manager of Huimei Creative Design, standing out and winning the title of "Annual Strongest Talent." She stated, "In the past, we often relied on experience to speculate on buyer needs. Now, through AI data analysis, we can accurately grasp customer preferences and even predict market trends." She also pointed out that AI is not a distant future concept but a "standard configuration" for enhancing foreign trade competitiveness.

The participating businesses this time covered various industries, including high-end jewelry, production machinery and equipment, electronics, and fashion apparel. Unlike last year's focus on the OKKI CRM tool features, this year's competition shifted its emphasis to the wisdom of "people." With the widespread adoption of AI technology, how to utilize AI has become a real watershed, including precise command input, diversified data filtering, and hitting core data logic directly.

## Cooperation Covers Three Core Areas

On the same day, Alibaba.com officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BOC HONG KONG, covering three core areas: payment management, technological transformation, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises in Hong Kong, helping local businesses accelerate their expansion into overseas markets and achieve sustainable growth.

The company mentioned that local businesses have continuously enhanced their competitiveness in the cross-border e-commerce sector over the past year. During the "September Procurement Festival" held last September, the overall transaction volume of Hong Kong merchants increased by 46% year-on-year, and the number of active sellers also rose by 82% year-on-year. Platform data also shows that local merchants are active in the application of AI tools, with the weekly active rate of the "AI Business Assistant" reaching as high as 90%; moreover, products optimized by AI have significantly improved opportunity acquisition efficiency by 172%
