Kevin Warsh, the nominee for Federal Reserve Chairman put forward by President Trump, although praised by a key Republican senator who is currently obstructing his confirmation, still failed to secure a clear path for his nomination at the end of the meeting. Senator Thom Tillis described it as a "good meeting," but reiterated his intention: he will block the Senate Banking Committee from advancing any Federal Reserve nominations unless the Department of Justice completes its investigation into Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
