# AI short dramas are booming, industry insiders say "it's the biggest opportunity coming up," with 90% of companies in the industry still in a state of loss

"AI-generated short dramas will definitely be the biggest trend in the future." Recently, Tang Chao, General Manager of Beijing Jutou Technology Culture Co., Ltd., stated at an industry conference. Since the beginning of this year, the AI short drama sector has experienced explosive growth and profound changes. According to DataEye, the proportion of AI-generated short dramas in the top 100 comic dramas list in January 2026 has increased from 7% last year to 38%. It is expected that by 2026, the user scale of AI comic dramas (including AI-generated short dramas) will grow from approximately 120 million in 2025 to 280 million, with the market size expected to reach 24 billion yuan
