Xiaohongshu targets AI-managed accounts in push to clean up content

Chinese social platform Xiaohongshu announced a crackdown on AI-managed accounts to preserve community authenticity. The platform has banned tools that simulate human creators for non-authentic content and will target violations like AI-generated low-quality content and fake endorsements. Ordinary accounts with minor violations will receive warnings, while fully AI-operated accounts will face permanent bans. This initiative aims to reduce digital garbage content, protect user rights, and encourage reporting of suspicious activities.
