You can share your thoughts with us at . ### EARNINGS BRIEFLY IMPORTANT FOR EUROPEAN MARKETS; INDITEX, RHEINMETALL IN FOCUS It’s been the quietest first hour of trading so far this week, with no headlines sufficiently big overnight to shake investors out of nervously waiting and seeing. The STOXX 600 (.STOXX) is still down 1%, with nearly all sectors down 1-2%, but there is a war on, and Brent is rising again, up another 4% above $91 a barrel (LCOc1) , while natural gas prices are up 6%. Despite that, defence is having a rare burst of underperformance as investors are unhappy about Rheinmetall (RHMG.DE) reporting mixed results and a softer than expected 2026 outlook. Its shares are off 5%, against a drop of 2% in the aerospace and defence index (.SXPARO) Better news from Zara owner Inditex (ITX.MC) have sent its shares up over 2% and are keeping the retail index (.SXRP) just about in positive territory.
