# U.S. February CPI year-on-year 2.4%, expected 2.4%, previous value 2.4%

In February, the U.S. CPI increased by 0.3% month-on-month, in line with expectations of 0.3%, and up from the previous value of 0.2%. The U.S. core CPI in February rose by 2.5% year-on-year, matching expectations of 2.5%, and unchanged from the previous value of 2.5%. The U.S. core CPI in February increased by 0.2% month-on-month, in line with expectations of 0.2%, down from the previous value of 0.3%.
