The east-west spreads continued to narrow, as Asian markets were reeling from further lack of spot availability after China ordered refiners to cease fuel exports this month. April east-west spreads went into smaller discounts of around $60 per metric ton. Meanwhile, April regional spot discussions were at a standstill for now, traders said. Refining margins (GO10SGCKMc1) surged back to more than three-year highs, reflecting worries of tightened regional supplies. Cash differentials (GO10-SIN-DIF) gained to a new high of nearly $35 a barrel again as firmer bids in the trading window were readily available. On jet fuel markets, traders also factored in the lack of barrels from China in the near-term and deals on the trading window were brisk. Regrade (JETREG10SGMc1) surged back to almost $29 a barrel, as buying interest firmed. ### SINGAPORE CASH DEALS (O/AS) - No gasoil deal, one jet fuel deal ### INVENTORIES - Singapore’s middle distillates inventories were below 7 million barrels - a three-year low - despite lower net exports of diesel and jet fuel, official government data showed on Thursday. (O/SING1) - U.S. crude stocks rose while fuel inventories fell last week, the Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday, as demand for gasoline and diesel rose on concerns that prices at the pump would continue to rise as the war with Iran upends global trade and supplies. (EIA/S) ### NEWS - Oil prices rose on Thursday as Iran stepped up attacks on oil and transport facilities across the Middle East, raising fears of a prolonged conflict and oil-flow disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz.
