# HTSC: Emphasize the investment opportunities in the "14th Five-Year Plan" pipeline network renovation

36Kr learned that a research report from Huatai Securities stated that looking ahead to the "14th Five-Year Plan," we believe that the logic of demand shifting from "incremental" to "stock" is applicable not only to the home renovation sector but also to infrastructure construction investment. By the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan," the urbanization rate of the resident population in China had reached 67.9%, and the scale of existing buildings is increasingly large. Urban development may shift from the incremental era of "large-scale demolition and construction" to a new phase of "quality improvement of existing stock." Since 2024, policies have repeatedly emphasized the importance of promoting urban renewal work. In the context of frequent extreme weather and recurrent flood disasters in recent years, we believe that pipeline network renovation has great potential and may be one of the key investment focuses of the "14th Five-Year Plan."
