# The lobster craze is waning, while the smart device feast has just begun

1 minute, free installation of lobster (OpenClaw), safe!

On March 11, in front of the Zhipu Public Welfare installation booth in the Hangzhou Lakeside business district, volunteers helped citizens download AutoClaw while repeatedly saying the same phrase.

Zhipu Senior Vice President Eric Wu mentioned "safe" three times on site—this domestically produced "Australian lobster" emphasizes plug-and-play and one-click deployment.

Almost simultaneously, a cold splash of risk was poured over the hot trend of shrimp farming.

On March 10, the National Internet Emergency Center issued an urgent warning, pointing out that the default security configuration of OpenClaw is extremely weak. On March 11, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Cybersecurity Threat and Vulnerability Information Sharing Platform (NVDB) released security risk prevention recommendations. On March 12, the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center issued a risk warning notice regarding the application of OpenClaw in the industrial sector, specifically sounding the alarm for industrial scenarios.

In addition to previous warning notices, regulatory authorities have issued four warnings in total.

The impact quickly transmitted to the market. Universities took the lead in action, with several institutions including Northwest A&F University, Central China Normal University, and Wuhan University of Science and Technology issuing notices prohibiting the installation of OpenClaw on office computers and teaching terminals.

Brokerages followed suit; according to media reports, at least 20 brokerages have prohibited "shrimp farming" on company networks.

The capital market's reaction was even more direct. The "lobster" concept stocks, which had previously surged, quickly corrected. On March 13, Zhipu fell over 9%, while Youke De, Borui Data, Qingyun Technology, and others also saw declines.

The "lobster craze" has cooled, but the innovation enthusiasm of domestic manufacturers remains high.

Tencent has launched five "lobster" bundles online—Tencent's version of Lobster WorkBuddy, OpenClaw integrated with WeChat Work, OpenClaw integrated with QQ, OpenClaw for Tencent Cloud lightweight deployment, and the in-beta QClaw.

Huawei disclosed the HarmonyOS version of Lobster Xiaoyi Claw, Zhipu promoted the one-click installation local lobster AutoClaw, ByteDance launched ArkClaw, and Xiaomi released Xiaomi miclaw...

Domestic AI lobsters are still gathering on the table.

In response to the security risks of the native version of OpenClaw, domestic manufacturers have also proposed different security solutions.

For example, WorkBuddy provides cloud access, ensuring that personal computers do not directly expose permissions, and all operations run in a secure environment, avoiding the risks of locally installed applications. The underlying logic is to keep the lobster in the cloud and not let it enter the home.

Zhipu AutoClaw has built-in security policies and skill modules that continuously scan for potential risks and strengthen protective capabilities through version upgrades, enhancing the security protection mechanism.

To address plugin poisoning, domestic manufacturers adopt a "pre-installed skills + official review" model, with Zhipu AutoClaw pre-installing over 50 popular plugins, and SenseTime listing officially reviewed Raccoon Skills to prevent users from downloading unknown plugins on their own In the midst of cold and heat, some people can't help but feel confused: will lobsters really cool down?

Zhu Youping, a researcher at the National Information Center, stated in an interview with Sanlihe that the timely release of alerts by regulatory authorities is adding "guardrails" for industry development. At the same time, policies are also making every effort to nurture the market's innovation ecosystem. In this process, it is essential to properly handle the relationship between innovation and regulation, application and safety, governance and popularization.

Lobsters with significant risk hazards may cool down, but the sweeping momentum of intelligent agents in China has just begun.

The answer lies in policy signals.

This year, "building a new form of intelligent economy" was included in the government work report for the first time. Intelligent agents are an important carrier of the intelligent economy. OpenClaw is an open-source intelligent agent framework.

Earlier, the State Council's "Opinions on Deepening the Implementation of the 'Artificial Intelligence+' Action" clearly stated: by 2027, the application penetration rate of intelligent agents will exceed 70%; by 2030, this figure should break 90%.

In other words, intelligent agents are not optional "toys," but a strategic direction written into national planning.

Yi Chengqi, deputy director of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the National Information Center, interpreted that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the contribution of the intelligent economy to GDP will complete a critical transformation from "incremental supplementation" to "core pillar."

Zeng Jianqiu, a professor at the School of Economics and Management at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, specifically mentioned a concept: trajectory data.

"When an intelligent agent completes a task, it goes through a complete chain of understanding needs, searching for information, invoking tools, and completing output. The data trajectory formed during this process is like the parabolic path after a missile launch, possessing extremely high value."

"OpenClaw has completed a nationwide popularization of intelligent agents, allowing more ordinary people to truly feel that AI can really work," said Zhu Youping. "I hope that such applications can become more and more numerous like a prairie fire."

The future of intelligent agents will be a transformation concerning the maintenance of national security and the enhancement of national competitiveness.
