# The "AI Six Little Tigers" Dark Side of the Moon reportedly seeks a new round of financing with a valuation of 140.4 billion

Moonshot AI, one of China's "AI Six Tigers," is reportedly seeking to raise up to $1 billion in its latest funding round, bringing its valuation to approximately $18 billion (about HKD 140.4 billion), more than four times its valuation three months ago. This indicates growing investor interest in Chinese AI startups, although it is currently unclear which parties are participating in the latest funding round.

## Significant Valuation Increase Earlier

According to a report by Bloomberg, Moonshot AI, which developed the "Kimi" chatbot, has initiated discussions for its latest funding round. Earlier this year, when the company raised over $700 million, its valuation reached $10 billion, with additional investments from Alibaba (9988), Tencent (700), and 5Y Capital.

The report also mentioned that when the company secured $500 million in funding at the end of last year, its valuation was approximately $4.3 billion; in other words, the current valuation has seen a significant increase
