Recently, many netizens in Guangdong reported that they purchased "fake cigarettes" at Meiyijia convenience stores. On March 14th, the "Guangdong 3.15 Evening Party" exposed the large-scale sale of fake cigarettes at Meiyijia convenience stores. On March 15th, Meiyijia Holdings Limited issued an apology statement, expressing sincere apologies for the negative impact caused to consumers and the public. The statement mentioned that the company has established a special task force to fully initiate verification and handling work. It will implement a suspension of operations for the involved stores and actively cooperate with the tobacco monopoly management department and market supervision department to conduct investigations. The company acknowledged that there are still loopholes in the management and supervision of store operations, and that management responsibilities have not been effectively implemented.
