The company stated that this development highlights the critical role of Xeon in GPU-accelerated AI systems, especially as the industry shifts from large-scale training to real-time inference, where the importance of the CPU in system architecture continues to rise. This news spurred Intel's stock price to rise by as much as 3.3% on Monday. Jeff McVeigh, Vice President and General Manager of Intel's Data Center Strategic Projects Group, stated, **"AI is transitioning from the large-scale training phase to 'ubiquitous real-time inference,' a trend driven by agent-based AI and inference systems."** In this new phase, the host CPU has become a key component, responsible for system scheduling, memory access, model security, and overall throughput management. He pointed out that the Xeon 6 has leading advantages in performance, energy efficiency, and compatibility with the x86 software ecosystem, enabling customers to scale inference workloads. Lynx Equity Strategies views this news positively and stated that with this development, > “**Intel's partnership with NVIDIA now has a concrete form** that can be tracked and evaluated in terms of product release timelines and potential revenue opportunities in the future.” ## Intel: Xeon 6 is Competitive on Multiple Key Metrics The company stated that Intel Xeon was chosen as the main CPU for the DGX Rubin NVL8 system, primarily due to its multiple system-level advantages, including support for high-speed memory, balanced performance across various workloads, lower long-term total cost of ownership, and a mature and reliable enterprise software ecosystem. Additionally, Xeon's capabilities in PCIe and I/O have been further strengthened, allowing it to operate stably in high-bandwidth, low-latency scenarios. Intel indicated that the Xeon 6 is competitive on multiple key metrics, including higher performance per watt, comprehensive optimization for the AI software stack (including support for NVIDIA Dynamo for heterogeneous inference between CPUs and future GPUs), high reliability in mission-critical environments, and efficient scheduling capabilities for GPU-accelerated heterogeneous systems. On the collaboration front, the DGX Rubin NVL8 system will integrate the Xeon 6 processor, continuing the architecture based on the Intel Xeon 6776P Blackwell platform design (such as the DGX B300 system). Intel stated that this continuity helps to smoothly transition existing performance advantages and system experience into the next generation of AI systems. On a specific technical level, the Xeon 6 optimizes the efficiency of data transfer to the GPU through features like Priority Core Turbo, while leveraging strong single-thread performance to handle key responsibilities such as scheduling, task management, and data flow, thereby maintaining system stability and efficiency even as inference tasks become increasingly complex In terms of hardware specifications, the Xeon 6 features multiple optimizations for AI scenarios, including support for up to 8TB of system memory to meet the demands of large models and KV caching; achieving a threefold increase in memory bandwidth through MRDIMM technology, significantly enhancing data supply efficiency to the GPU; providing industry-leading PCIe 5.0 channels to support AI accelerators; and implementing a secure computing data path between the CPU and GPU through an encryption buffering mechanism. Additionally, its hardware-based isolation mechanism can protect AI data and model security during operation ### Related Stocks - [NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDA.US.md) - [iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SOXX.US.md) - [The Technology Select Sector SPDR® ETF (XLK.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XLK.US.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Long INTC Daily ETF (INTW.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/INTW.US.md) - [Intel Corporation (INTC.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/INTC.US.md) - [Direxion Daily NVDA Bull 2X Shares (NVDU.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDU.US.md) - [T-REX 2X Long NVIDIA Daily Target ETF (NVDX.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDX.US.md) - [VanEck Semiconductor ETF (SMH.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SMH.US.md) - [Direxion Daily Semicondct Bull 3X ETF (SOXL.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/SOXL.US.md) - [State Street® SPDR® S&P® Smcndctr ETF (XSD.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/XSD.US.md) - [INTEL-T (04335.HK)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/04335.HK.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Long NVDA Daily ETF (NVDL.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDL.US.md) - [YieldMax NVDA Option Income Strategy ETF (NVDY.US)](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NVDY.US.md) ## Related News & Research - [Planet to build world’s first GPU-native AI engine for planetary intelligence with Nvidia](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279330399.md) - [Signing Day Sports Announces Major AI Data Center LOI](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279045346.md) - [EXL advances EXLerate.ai agentic AI platform to support enterprise-scale adoption with NVIDIA technologies | EXLS Stock News](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279335695.md) - [16:32 ETEDB Accelerates Postgres for the Agentic Workforce Era with NVIDIA AI Infrastructure and Interactive Analytics](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279320135.md) - [Nvidia Investors Just Got Incredible News from CEO Jensen Huang: 2 Highlights from GTC](https://longbridge.com/en/news/279334368.md)
