# Guotai CSI Consumer Electronic Theme ETF (561310) has pulled back over 3%, seizing the opportunity to layout in the consumer electronics sector during the pullback

On March 17th, the Guotai CSI Consumer Electronic Theme ETF (561310) retraced over 3%, seizing the opportunity to layout in the consumer electronics sector.

Datong Securities pointed out that in 2026, the global semiconductor industry will show significant differentiation driven by the dual forces of explosive AI demand and cost pressures in consumer electronics. The AI wave is driving a surge in computing power demand, with a sharp increase in high-bandwidth memory (HBM) demand, leading to a substantial increase in the value of segments such as servers, AI chips, optical chips, storage, and PCBs. The storage chip industry is entering a new upcycle, with DRAM prices showing a strong upward trend since June 2025, directly reflecting the strong demand for high-performance memory from AI servers. Meanwhile, the continuous surge in DRAM and NAND flash prices is driving up the selling prices of smartphones and PC terminals, forcing manufacturers to adopt price increases or downgrading strategies in response, while giants like Samsung and Micron are shifting over 80% of their advanced production capacity to HBM and other AI server-specific memory, leading to a contraction in the supply of the consumer market. Against this backdrop, China's semiconductor industry is accelerating domestic substitution.

The Guotai CSI Consumer Electronic Theme ETF (561310) tracks the Consumer Electronics Index (931494), which selects listed company securities involved in the design, manufacturing, and sales of consumer electronic products from the market as index samples to reflect the overall performance of securities related to listed companies in the consumer electronics sector.
