# Trader Loses $50 Million in Stablecoin Swap Due to Slippage

An anonymous trader experienced a significant loss of approximately $50 million during a stablecoin swap conducted through Aave's platform. According to NS3.AI, the transaction resulted in the trader receiving only about $36,000 worth of tokens. Aave reported that the user had acknowledged an extraordinary slippage warning prior to executing the trade. In response to this incident, Aave plans to introduce Aave Shield, a feature designed to prevent swaps with a price impact exceeding 25%.
