The Shanghai Composite Index briefly dipped below the 4,000-point mark. In terms of sectors, green electricity and computing power synergy concepts performed strongly against the trend, while the oil and gas sector showed active performance; on the downside, the non-ferrous metals sector led the declines, and the steel sector weakened. In terms of ETF performance, the S&P Oil & Gas ETF hit the daily limit. On Wednesday, a key natural gas field in Iran was attacked, causing international oil prices to surge. Some analysts believe that the conflict in Iran is disrupting the global energy market and trade, with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz nearly coming to a standstill, exacerbating supply risks in the market. On the downside, gold-related ETFs fell over 6%. Analysts believe that from a medium to long-term perspective, the geopolitical situation and the global macro background (debt crisis, de-globalization, etc.) still support gold.
