# Semiconductor Maker Elmos Explores Sale, Reuters Says, Citing Sources

--​Elmos Semiconductor is exploring a sale as its founders mull exiting the business, Reuters says, citing unnamed sources.

--The German company has initiated early-stage discussions with potential buyers which might include Germany's Infineon and U.S.-based Qualcomm, Reuters says, citing the sources. 

--Elmos has hired Morgan Stanley to advise on the sale process, which would likely garner close scrutiny from Germany's regulators, the report says. Infineon declined to comment and Qualcomm didn't immediately respond to Reuters's request for comment.
