# Roche Group Chairman Severin Schwan: Developing commercial health insurance to support industry innovation

Severin Schwan, Chairman of the Board of Roche Group, highly praised China's progress in enhancing healthcare services and building a vibrant life sciences industry during the China Development Forum 2026 Annual Conference held in Beijing on the 22nd. In his view, a key factor in China's success is its long-term and visionary investment in the ecosystem. Additionally, Schwan noted China's timely advancements in the "soft environment."
