Huawei Vice President and President of the ICT Product Portfolio Management and Solutions Department, Ma Haixu, stated at the conference that Huawei has successively launched the new model Kunpeng 920 and Kunpeng 950, while planning the Kunpeng 960, achieving significant progress and breakthroughs in key technologies such as microarchitecture, instruction set, and packaging process. Reports indicate that Huawei has not disclosed the progress of Kunpeng in recent years, but according to information, the Kunpeng 920 new model will be launched in the first quarter of 2024, the Kunpeng 950 will debut in the first quarter of 2026, and the Kunpeng 960 is also scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2028. Kunpeng is Huawei's self-developed ARM server processor, with similar domestic CPUs on the market including the Haiguang 7000 series, Feiteng Cloud series, Loongson 3C5000 series, and Zhaoxin KH-50000, commonly found in the information technology application innovation market. Ma Haixu stated that since the full opening of the Kunpeng server motherboard in 2019, there have been 6,800 partners developed, with 25,000 solutions certified by Kunpeng, widely serving industries such as finance, telecommunications, government, and electricity, becoming the preferred CPU technology route for national economic and people's livelihood industries. At the same time, Kunpeng has gained recognition from leading internet customers and has been widely applied in core application scenarios such as big data, databases, and search promotion. According to a report by the third-party organization IDC, last year, Kunpeng's market share in mainland China's server market exceeded 22%. Looking towards 2026, Ma Haixu revealed that Kunpeng will focus on continuous hardware innovation, creating a full-scenario computing power base and deep open-source software, further deepening ecological cooperation as three key implementation focuses.
