# The chip industry chain stocks have adjusted, pay attention to the semiconductor equipment ETF E Fund (159558) and the STAR Chip ETF E Fund (589130) for layout opportunities

As of the midday close, the SSE STAR Chip Index and the CSI Semiconductor Material Equipment Theme Index both fell by 3.4%, the SSE STAR Chip Design Theme Index fell by 3.5%, and the CSI Chip Industry Index fell by 3.7%.

Guotai Securities pointed out that in January 2026, global semiconductor sales are expected to reach USD 82.54 billion, a year-on-year increase of 46.1%, marking 27 consecutive months of positive year-on-year growth; among them, sales in China are expected to grow by 47.0% year-on-year. The industry is currently in a stage of breaking through high-end chip manufacturing capabilities and expanding the scale of memory chip production, with AI still being the main line of technological development, and computing demand is growing at an exponential rate.
