# S&P raises Sun Life Financial's credit rating to "AA" with a "stable" outlook

Sun Life announced today (24th) that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded the company's long-term financial strength rating and issuer credit rating from "AA-" to "AA," with a rating outlook of "stable."

S&P also noted that the group has maintained a leading competitive advantage and possesses a highly robust financial risk profile. As a core subsidiary of the group, Sun Life is expected to continue benefiting from the group's strong capital strength, global expertise, and excellent risk management capabilities, further consolidating its financial stability
