The leadership transition at PICC Group and its core subsidiary PICC P&amp;C has officially begun.
On March 24, the official website of PICC Group updated its management information: Zhang Daoming, Vice President and interim head of PICC P&amp;C, has been appointed as a member of the Party Committee of PICC Group, joining the ranks of centrally managed officials, and concurrently appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of PICC P&amp;C.
According to convention, after the relevant procedures are completed, Zhang Daoming may assume the positions of Vice President of PICC Group and President of PICC P&amp;C.
At that time, the number of &#34;post-70s&#34; in the management of PICC Group will increase to seven. Zhang Daoming, born in 1976, will become the youngest among them, and also the youngest president among the main subsidiaries of PICC Group.
In the past decade, the senior management of PICC P&amp;C has undergone frequent changes, with several executives being investigated. In the industry's view, Zhang Daoming's succession this time is largely due to his strong professional capabilities and crisis management experience.
Throughout his career, he has played the role of a key &#34;firefighter&#34; twice.
The first &#34;firefighting&#34; occurred at the core grassroots level. In 2019, PICC P&amp;C experienced a loss of 2.884 billion yuan in credit guarantee insurance underwriting. The key Guangdong branch was deeply mired in the crisis of its partner Jiufu's default. At that time, Zhang Daoming took over the Guangdong branch, quickly halted the credit guarantee business, and stabilized the branch's foundation.
This &#34;firefighting&#34; occurred at the group's core. At the end of 2025, Yu Ze, then Vice President of PICC Group and President of PICC P&amp;C, was investigated. The then Vice President took over as interim head, leading PICC P&amp;C to maintain orderly business operations.

He started in the human resources and strategic development departments of PICC P&amp;C. He briefly moved to Anbang Property &amp; Casualty Insurance but quickly returned to the PICC system, holding several key positions in core business departments such as market research and channel management;
Since 2009, Zhang Daoming has served in three provincial branches in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Guangdong, rising from deputy general manager to &#34;top leader&#34; of the provincial branch, familiar with grassroots business logic;
At the end of 2020, Zhang Daoming was promoted to Assistant President of PICC P&amp;C, and promoted to Vice President in October of the following year. Since then, he has also served as the financial controller of PICC P&amp;C and a director of several subsidiaries including PICC Health and PICC Life.
On March 27, PICC Group will hold its 2025 annual performance press conference. At that time, the new helmsman of this property and casualty insurance &#34;leading goose&#34; may officially appear in a new capacity, conveying the development direction of this industry giant to the market.
