# WH Group expects a rebound in China's meat product sales this year

WH Group (00288.HK) Executive Director and CEO Guo Lijun stated at the earnings press conference that the Middle East war has led to rising oil prices, which have increased transportation costs in the United States. The company has mitigated the impact through price increases, and since oil prices account for a low proportion of overall costs, the impact is manageable.

Looking ahead to the Chinese market this year, he mentioned that the group will strengthen high cost-performance products and expand emerging channels, believing that the performance in the first quarter will be good, and expects an increase in annual meat product sales.

The group indicated that the U.S. market will focus on alleviating cost pressure, expanding sales and proportion of high-margin products, and maintaining high profitability levels. The European market will continue to expand through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions, reducing costs and increasing efficiency to enhance profit levels
