# WeChat Pay HK partners with Nanshan, Shenzhen to distribute over HKD 10 million in consumption vouchers to Hong Kong residents

Tencent (00700.HK) subsidiary WeChat Pay HK announced its first collaboration with the Business Bureau of Nanshan District, Shenzhen to hold the "2026 Nanshan District Inbound Consumption Voucher Activity," which is expected to provide WeChat Pay HK users with consumption vouchers worth over HKD 10 million. The first round of distribution will take place from April 1 to June 30, covering popular dining, retail, and the Coastal City business district. In the first round of consumption, Hong Kong residents can enjoy a 40% discount after spending a minimum of HKD 20 and up to a maximum of HKD 800.

WeChat Pay HK users can access the event page through the "Mainland Travel" section and click to claim consumption vouchers, which are categorized into four types: dining, retail, designated merchants in the Nanshan Coastal City business district, and designated merchants in Nanshan District. For example, dining vouchers offer discounts of HKD 60 for a minimum spend of HKD 100 and HKD 300 for a minimum spend of HKD 500, while retail vouchers offer a discount of HKD 480 for a minimum spend of HKD 800.

Tencent's Vice President of Financial Technology, Hong Danyi, stated that the entire event will distribute consumption vouchers in about two to three rounds. In the first two months of this year, the number of transactions made by WeChat Pay HK users in the mainland nearly doubled compared to the same period last year, and this momentum is expected to continue into April. With the support of consumption vouchers, it is anticipated that this growth trend will be maintained during the Qingming and Easter holiday periods
