Spot gold prices briefly rose above the $4,600 level, currently up about 2%, reported at $4,575 per ounce, while New York futures gold rose over 4%, reported at $4,616.9. Spot silver also increased by about 3% to $73.3 per ounce. Precious metal-related stocks performed well, with Zijin Mining (2899) up 1.4%, Zijin Gold International (2259) up 3.1%; ZHAOJIN MINING (1818) up 4.4%; Shandong Gold (1787) up 4.3%; and China Silver Group (815) up 3.3%.
