# Brief News: Kingsoft Cloud's losses significantly narrowed last year, Lei Jun resigned as chairman

Cloud computing service provider **Kingsoft Cloud Holdings Limited** (3896.HK, KC.US) announced on Wednesday that it recorded a net loss of RMB 936 million (USD 136 million) for the year ending last December, narrowing approximately 52% compared to a net loss of RMB 1.967 billion in the same period of 2024.

During the period, total revenue reached RMB 9.559 billion, an increase of 22.78% year-on-year, mainly driven by demand for intelligent computing cloud and industry cloud; among them, public cloud revenue grew by 32.5%, becoming the core driver. However, with increased investment in AI computing power, depreciation and infrastructure costs rose, leading to a decline in gross margin from 17.2% to 15.7%.

In the fourth quarter alone, Kingsoft Cloud's revenue reached RMB 2.76 billion, setting a new historical high, with a year-on-year growth of 23.7%. Public cloud revenue increased by 34.9% to RMB 1.902 billion, and revenue related to intelligent computing cloud surged by 95% year-on-year. The net loss for the fourth quarter was RMB 163 million, narrowing from RMB 201 million in the same period last year, but widening quarter-on-quarter.

The company also announced that Lei Jun has resigned as a non-executive director due to other work arrangements, and he will no longer serve as chairman, chairman of the board's nomination committee, and a member of the board's compensation committee; following Lei Jun's resignation, vice chairman Zou Tao has been appointed as chairman and chairman of the nomination committee.

Kingsoft Cloud's US stock rose 6.71% on Wednesday, closing at USD 14.8, with a year-to-date increase of 41.6%.
