# Google upgrades Lyria AI, quietly changing the way AI creates music

Google is quietly pushing its artificial intelligence technology deeper into the creative field, and this time the focus is on music.

The company has upgraded its Lyria model to the new version Lyria 3 Pro, allowing users to create longer and more complete songs. Users are no longer limited to generating 30-second short clips; they can now produce tracks up to three minutes long with actual structure.

This is where the greater significance of this transformation lies. It's not just about generating longer audio. Users can now guide the AI in planning the progression of the song, from the introduction, verses, chorus, and even to the bridge. In other words, the process is no longer random generation but more like actively shaping it.

Google stated that the model has a better understanding of the flow of music, making transitions and style blending more natural
