# SITC values over 1 billion yuan to build six new container ships

SITC (01308.HK) announced that it has entered into an option agreement with shipbuilders Yangzi Hongyuan and New Yangzi Shipbuilding to construct six 1,100 TEU container ships, with a total price of USD 137 million (approximately HKD 1.074 billion), to be paid in cash in five installments. The vessels are expected to be delivered between March and August 2028
