# XPeng to Change Chinese Corporate and Stock Short Name in April 2026

XPeng, Inc. Class A ( (HK:9868) ) has provided an update.

XPeng Inc. will change its Chinese name for identification purposes from “小鵬汽車有限公司” to “小鵬集團” with effect from April 1, 2026, while retaining its existing English name “XPeng Inc.” for all corporate and listing matters. The change does not affect shareholder rights or existing share certificates, which remain valid for trading and settlement without any exchange arrangement.

The company’s Chinese stock short name on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will also be updated from “小鵬汽車 – W” to “小鵬集團 – W” from 9:00 a.m. on April 1, 2026, aligning its market identity with the new Chinese name. Its English stock short name “XPENG – W” and stock code “9868” remain unchanged, signaling a branding adjustment rather than an operational or structural shift for investors and other stakeholders.
