The S&P 500 fell more than 1.7%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged 840 points, a drop of more than 1.8%, and the NASDAQ Composite Index fell 468 points, a drop of 2.2%. According to The Wall Street Journal, mediators said Iran is expected to respond to the US "15-point plan" before the end of Friday. Mediators stated that although some progress has been made, Iranian officials are expected to reject several of the US demands.
