The business delegation led by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Qiu Yinghua, has moved from Sichuan to continue its visit in Guizhou.

After arriving in Renhuai City, Guizhou, Qiu Yinghua and the delegation visited the Renhuai Sauce Aroma Distillery and the Moutai Distillery on Thursday (26th) and Friday (27th) respectively, to understand the production processes and future development directions of the two liquor brands. Qiu Yinghua also introduced the advantages of Hong Kong in promoting the trade of spirits to the senior representatives of the brands and exchanged views on assisting the local liquor industry in going global. The delegation also visited the China Wine Culture City to deepen their understanding of the characteristics and development history of the Chinese liquor industry.

Afterward, Qiu Yinghua and the delegation moved to Zunyi City to meet with Li Rui, a member of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Zunyi Municipal Party Committee, to deepen the economic and trade ties between Hong Kong and Guizhou, and to introduce Hong Kong's unique advantages in connecting internally and externally. Qiu Yinghua mentioned that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is launching a series of policy measures to consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's status as an international trade center. Among these, the establishment of a special team for mainland enterprises going global and the promotion of high-priced spirits trade will provide substantial support for mainland enterprises, including the liquor industry, to "go out," while injecting new momentum into Hong Kong's economy.

Qiu Yinghua and the delegation then visited the Guizhou Zhenjiu Distillery, where they listened to representatives from the distillery introduce the brand's history and development process, and deepened their understanding of the local liquor market. Before returning to Hong Kong on Saturday (28th), the delegation will also visit the Guizhou Dongjiu Distillery.

In summarizing the trip, Qiu Yinghua stated that the delegation's visit helps to promote further cooperation between the liquor industries of the mainland and Hong Kong, jointly exploring opportunities for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. As a "super connector" and "super value creator," Hong Kong plays an important role in linking the mainland with the international spirits market. The Chinese liquor industry should seize the opportunity and make good use of Hong Kong's advantages in promoting spirits trade, including a simple tax system, streamlined and efficient customs clearance procedures, superior geographical location, comprehensive and professional liquor trade support, and a thriving exhibition industry, to reach the international market through Hong Kong as a platform
