Agricultural Bank of China (01288.HK) announced its full-year results for the year ended last December, with revenue of RMB 725.131 billion, an increase of 1.9% year-on-year. Net profit was RMB 291.041 billion, up 3.2% year-on-year; earnings per share were 78 cents. A final dividend of 13 cents was declared, compared to 12.55 cents in the same period last year.
During the period, net interest income was RMB 569.594 billion, a decrease of 1.9% year-on-year, with a net interest margin of 1.28% and a net interest spread of 1.16%, down 14 and 11 basis points respectively, mainly due to the impact of LPR adjustments and low market interest rates, leading to a decline in the yield on interest-earning assets. Net fee and commission income was RMB 88.085 billion, an increase of 16.6% year-on-year.
As of the end of last year, the bank's capital adequacy ratio was 17.93%, down 0.26 percentage points from the same period in 2024, with the core Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio decreasing by 0.34 percentage points to 11.08%; the non-performing loan ratio decreased by 0.03 percentage points to 1.27%
