# US Stocks Open Higher: Nasdaq Up 0.7%, Major Tech Stocks Broadly Rise

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.7%, and the S&P 500 rose 0.6%. Nike fell about 12% after the company unexpectedly lowered its fourth-quarter sales forecast. Boeing rose about 3%, and Lockheed Martin rose about 1% after the Pentagon reached an agreement with Boeing and Lockheed Martin to increase production capacity for "Patriot" seeker heads. Major tech stocks were broadly higher, with Micron Tech up about 2% and Tesla up about 1%.
