# US Stocks Open Higher: Nasdaq Rises 0.7%, Major Tech Stocks Generally Up

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.7%, and the S&P 500 Index rose 0.6%. Nike fell about 12% after the company unexpectedly lowered its fourth-quarter sales outlook. Boeing rose about 3%, and Lockheed Martin rose about 1% after the Pentagon reached an agreement with Boeing and Lockheed Martin to increase production capacity for "Patriot" seekers. Major technology stocks were generally up, with Micron Technology up about 2% and Tesla up about 1%.
