# Trump claims that the Iran conflict will end soon, and the South Korean and Japanese stock markets surged in early trading

(Agence France-Presse Tokyo, January 1) U.S. President Trump stated that the war with Iran may end in about two weeks. The Japanese stock market's benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose over 3% in early trading today, while South Korea's benchmark KOSPI index surged nearly 5%.
