# "European Stocks" Iran war may end within weeks, pan-European Stoxx 600 rebounds strongly, closing up over 2%

European stock markets rebounded strongly on the first trading day of April. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 2.5% on Wednesday.

The UK FTSE 100 index closed up 188 points or 1.9% at 10,364 points. The German DAX index closed up 618 points or 2.7% at 23,298 points. The French CAC 40 index closed up 164 points or 2.1% at 7,981 points
