# Xiaomi to Adjust Product Prices Amid Rising Component Costs

On April 3, Xiaomi announced that due to the significant increase in global storage chip and other key component prices, the company will adjust the suggested retail prices of some products starting April 11, 2026, at 00:00. According to Jin10, Xiaomi's President Lu Weibing stated on social media that the current surge in memory prices has exceeded expectations, with prices for the same version of memory rising nearly fourfold compared to Q1 last year. The price for 12+512 memory has increased by approximately 1,500 yuan, while the 16+1T version has seen an even more dramatic rise. This situation has greatly impacted REDMI, known for its competitive pricing strategy. As a result, Xiaomi will slightly increase or restore the retail prices of certain models.
