# "A Series" Broad-based Index Weekly Adjustment Institutional Research Report: After the market adjustment, the Chinese stock market is showing important bottoms and hitting points

From March 30 to April 3, 2026, the A-share "A Series" broad-based indices collectively experienced fluctuations and adjustments, with market styles under pressure. As of this week's close, the CSI A500 Index fell by 1.8%, the CSI A100 Index fell by 2.0%, and the CSI A50 Index fell by 1.3%. Broad-based indices across different market capitalization dimensions retreated simultaneously, creating layout opportunities during the market adjustment. Guotai Junan Securities clearly pointed out that looking ahead, after the market adjustment, the Chinese stock market is showing important bottoming and hitting points, and this round of adjustment has instead created a quality layout window for investors.

CSI A500 Index: This week it fell by 1.8%, with a rolling price-to-earnings ratio of 17.0 times and a valuation percentile of 74.0%. The index consists of 500 securities with larger market capitalization and better liquidity from various industries, covering 89 out of 93 sub-industries, with a comprehensive industry distribution, making it a core representative of the mid-cap style in A-shares.

CSI A100 Index: This week it fell by 2.0%, with a rolling price-to-earnings ratio of 17.4 times and a valuation percentile of 83.0%. The index consists of 100 large-cap leading securities that are representative of their industries, covering 46 sub-industries in the CSI, reflecting the overall performance of core leading listed companies in the large-cap sector.

CSI A50 Index: This week it fell by 1.3%, with a rolling price-to-earnings ratio of 17.8 times, newly released on January 2, 2024. The index consists of the 50 largest stocks by market capitalization among industry leaders, covering 50 sub-industries in the CSI, with a balanced industry distribution and a prominent large-cap style.
